"Whatever your ability, age or gender you will receive a warm and friendly welcome at Zoe’s class.

Highly recommended." David

"I have attended Zoe's Mindful Yoga classes and I am enjoying them immensely.

Zoe facilitates time that is just for me. I find it so relaxing and feel great afterwards.

One of the things I really like is that Zoe does not push you to do anything.

It's whatever feels comfortable - no pressure. Be good to yourself and book on to the course." Tracy H

Mindful Yoga is suitable for men and women of all ages, ability and beliefs. Everyone is welcome and no experience is required. So, young or old, agile or stiff, yoga helps you to be the best version of yourself. So, Stimulate your body, calm your heart and relax that brain! Mindful Yoga helps to improve vitality, muscle tone, posture, balance, digestion, sleeping habits, hormonal issues, coordination, concentration, breathing and can offer a deep sense of inner calmness. It's also fun! When the sun smiles on us, we can also start the classes outside surrounded by the beautiful countryside.

"Zoe’s class is ‘blissful’!

I really look forward each week to stretching tired limbs and relaxing my mind and body.

The pace is just right too, as Zoe manages to create the perfect balance between exercise and relaxation.

It’s a guilt free escape from the riggers of everyday life." Lee

"Zoe's yoga class is wonderfully relaxing and meditative, but at the same time stimulating and fun.

I find her instructions easy to follow and she always gives options for each of the poses, so I can choose

the right one for my ability. It is such a lovely positive atmosphere and a great start to the weekend." Kate

Each class balances effort and ease with a focus on improving your core strength and flexibility while deepening the connection you have to yourself. You will learn many movements and techniques to help you integrate your body, mind and heart in the present. It's when you're not distracted by memories from the past or concerned about imaginations of the future, that true healing can happen. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, you will learn yoga postures (Asanas); breathing techniques (Pranayama); simple Chi Gong movements and short meditations that you can easily practise at home.

All of the postures and movements are taught in several stages, with a range of adaptions so you can always find the right level for you. There is no competition - we simply tune into ourselves. A mindful approach runs throughout the class, further helping you to be as aware as possible of yourself in each moment and to practice at your own pace, however fast or slow you sense that to be (and this can differ from week to week, which gives us great practice in staying curious and repeatedly tuning in!).

"It is rare to find a teacher so sympathetic and understanding yet knowledgeable in so many fields.

Never be afraid of yoga if you feel everyone will be better than you. Zoe will give you an easier alternative and

you will feel relaxed and among friends. You will be surprised what you can do - join us!" Rose

My aim is to encourage, empower and support you to help you feel both comfortable and increasingly confident in both stillness and in movement. Clear instructions and, only if you wish, occasional hands-on adjustments will assist you in moving from and significantly strengthening your core structure and ensuring you work safely with correct alignment. You can always choose your own challenge. Leave the past behind, let go of the future and just be :-)

Booking and cancellation policy

I operate a first come, first served policy and as soon as your fee is paid, your place is automatically saved. This fee is refundable until 2 weeks before the course/workshop starts (or 6 weeks before weekend retreats) minus a 10% admin charge. Sorry, but in order to confirm numbers, no refund can be given after this date as other bookings may have been turned away but you may give your place to someone you know.

In the unlikely event that I have to cancel a class due to personal circumstances, I provide a full refund. If we have to cancel due to circumstances out of my control eg. dangerous weather and the hall is booked as usual then we have to put it down to an act of God/Mother Nature! Thank you for your understanding.

"Zoe is a Star! and taking her yoga class is like giving a gift to yourself. Yoga has many many wonderful benefits...

and this class is nice combination of mindfulness and flowing movement.

It is perfect for all ages, sexes and is a nice introduction to yoga, so if you are drawn to begin

a yoga practice or exercise in general this is the perfect place to start; a wonderful class, teacher,

subject and location. What more could anyone ask? Oh, and the sun always shines during class :)" Kevin

There is now wide ranging scientific evidence claiming that Yoga has many positive health benefits, such as decreasing anxiety, depression, pain, cardiovascular, autoimmune and immune conditions and reducing symptoms and stress during pregnancy.

"Mindfulness is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)

as a way to prevent depression" www.nhs.uk

A major systematic review of 10 scientific studies and a total of nearly 1000 chronic low back pain patients concluded that yoga significantly reduced low back pain and functional disability (Cramer et al 2013). Another major study reported a decrease in functional disability measures, pain intensity and depression scores in people practicing yoga (Williams et al 2009). Yoga has also been shown to be effective for war veterans suffering low back pain by decreasing pain and significantly improving energy levels and mental health after only a 10 week programme (Groessl et al 2012). Why not come along and see for yourself what yoga has to offer?

Yoga "is a science of well-being, science of youthfulness, science of integrating body, mind and soul.” Amit Ray

I didn't want to go to Yoga on Thursday. I was too tired, too ratty and too grumpy to

enjoy it, or so I thought. I went anyway and was soon borne away on the countryside theme of the week.

We were seeds, we were sheep. We were warriors; in my case, a very wobbly warrior when I balanced on one leg.

But it left me feeling refreshed, happy and relaxed. Thank you so much Zoe." Jane

“Yoga is not an ancient myth buried in oblivion. It is the most valuable inheritance of the present.

It is the essential need of today and the culture of tomorrow” Swami Satyananda Saraswati
